Burned Home Again the Focus of a Search for Two Missing Bedford Cnty. Children

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — There were new developments Thursday afternoon in the Bedford County farmhouse fire that apparently claimed four lives.

Investigators quickly located the bodies of 72-year-old Leon McClaran and his 70-year-old wife, Molli, following the Sunday night blaze. Officials also expected to find the bodies of two of the McClaran's grandchildren in the rubble, but haven't been able to find them.

Seniors Sheltered at Lipscomb Following Fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP/WMOT) — The Nashville Red Cross is providing emergency shelter for more than 170 senior citizens.

The seniors, some of them in wheel chairs, were evacuated Monday evening from a Nashville apartment tower.

Entitled “Technology, Trafficking and Terrorism,” the 2012 Organized Crime Symposium is free and open to the public.
