WMOT is a non-profit, non-commercial public radio service of Middle Tennessee State University. The station is nationally recognized, professionally staffed, and is a founding member of National Public Radio.
WMOT is clearly tasked with both public service and academic support responsibilities, as mandated by its University-provided Mission Statement. Selected University students are hired as part-time talent.
