Instructional Support Objectives

WMOT shares in the Mass Communication College’s goal of being the best instructional program for professional media education.

The station’s responsibility is to assist in this educational process by providing select, advanced students with enrichment opportunities in a work environment.

WMOT supports the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC) curriculum philosophy and standards established in its accrediting guidelines.

·       In doing so, and because WMOT is NOT a laboratory station, practical application activities are rigidly controlled. At the direction of the Mass Communication dean, designated members of the WMOT staff may teach courses in the radio curriculum. Staff will receive extra compensation for these duties, according the University policy.
