The Jim Cullum Jazz Band plays Muggsy Spanier's work on Riverwalk, Sunday, May 15.
Tune in at 11:00 a.m. to Riverwalk with "Relaxin' at the Touro: Muggsy Spanier and His Ragtime Band." The Jim Cullum Jazz Band explores the "Great 16" recordings of Muggsy Spanier's Ragtime Band, a shining jewel of hot jazz in the '30s.
Taylor Eigsti and Marian McPartland joined for a special live taping of Piano Jazz to be replayed on May 8th at 7 p.m.
At 7 p.m. on WMOT-Jazz89, Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz and Taylor Eigsti - Tanglewood will be on. Twenty-year-old piano prodigy, Taylor Eigsti joined McPartland for a special live taping of Piano Jazz at the 2004 Tanglewood Jazz Festival. Eigsti dazzled the audience with his amazing technique and his flawless improvisations on "Fever" before he and McPartland traded licks and creative piano techniques on "Oleo."
Nashville, Tenn., – DB3 Management, in conjunction with ElegantSoulz, will be hosting "Jazz at the Mall," at the Bicentennial Mall State Park amphitheater on Sunday, May 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
