Angie Walker visitation, funeral set for Thursday in Murfreesboro

WGNS

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (OSBORNE)  --  The Nashville Office of the National Weather Service says the EF-2 tornado that killed one person and injured two in Christiana early Tuesday morning was the strongest twister Tennessee has seen this year.

Meteorologist Sam Shamburger says Weather Service survey teams have been assessing the damage.

“So far we’ve found seven tornados across Middle Tennessee, two of which were rated EF-2 – so those were pretty intense tornados and one of those killed one person and injured two others.”

Forty-one-year-old Rutherford County resident Angie Walker died when her Christiana home was blown off its foundation during the storm.

The Daily News Journal says Walker’s visitation and funeral will be held Thursday at Murfreesboro’s New Vision Baptist Church.
