Final recommendations for holiday activities across the mid-state

Polar Express

 NASHVILLE, Tenn. (OSBORNE)  --  If you want to get in some holiday activities before Christmas you’re running out of time. There’s just one more weekend ahead of the big day.

We’ve been calling on Lauren Breeze with Nashvillefunforfamilies.com to recommend some family friendly events and activities across the mid-state.

Here's Lauren's list for the weekend of December 22 and 23.

Breakfast with Santa

Eat Breakfast with Santa at the Aquarium restaurant in Opry Mills Mall! Guests will be joined by Santa Claus and our very own mascot, Sharkey, for a delicious breakfast buffet and photo opportunities. Plus keep a close eye on the tanks, you may see Santa swimming with our fish!

Call the Aquarium restaurant to reserve your seats for Saturday, Sunday, or even Christmas Eve morning.

Holiday at Cheekwood

See Santa and his reindeer at Cheekwood! Starting at 9 AM daytime visitors can visit with Santa, see the Mansion decorated for the season and say hello to Cheekwood’s resident reindeer.

Once it gets dark, the gardens are lit up for the season. Carolers sing, and the S’mores pits are open so you can get warm by the fire and roast a marshmallow.

The Polar Express

See the classic film The Polar Express at NCG Cinema in Gallatin for free on December 21, 22, 23, 24th The movie starts at 9:30 AM. Tickets are available at the theatre on a first come, first serve basis.

You can also see The Polar Express at the Franklin theatre on Saturday at 10 AM. Tickets are $5.

The Little Mermaid

Nashville Children’s Theatre brings Disney’s The Little Mermaid to life! See Ariel and her friends explore the world on legs. This is the final weekend for the show and you can see it on Saturday at 2 PM or 7 PM and again on Sunday at 2 PM.
