Middle Tennessee State Falls to 5-4

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (BEASLEY)  --   It was one of the most anticipated games in school history for Middle Tennessee State.

The MTSU Blue Raiders (5-4, 4-1) fell to the BYU Cougars (5-4) Saturday by the score of 27-7 in Floyd Stadium after only gaining 228 yards on offense.

The Blue Raiders have another bye week upcoming, the last of its two this season, before they travel to Miami to take on Florida International.

Following the game against FIU, MT will return home against Florida Atlantic and then travel to south to play UTEP for the regular season finale.

As of now the Blue Raiders are one game away from becoming bowl eligible for the third time in four years.
