MTSU Dairy Facilities Open to Public at Sept. 27 Ag Field Day

Come and check out the “amazing success story” (Dr. Warren Gill, School of Agribusiness and Agriscience director) taking place at 3211 Guy James Rd. in Lascassas.

It’s the MTSU Experiential Learning and Research Center, also known as the MTSU Farm and 1-year-old MTSU Dairy.

Ag Field Day runs from 4 to 7 p.m. for the public, but feel free to arrive by 3:30 and we will try to accommodate your reporting and video/photography needs to help you meet your deadlines.

Public tours of the farm and dairy (including milking in the dairy parlor) will start at 4 p.m. Farm Lab Manager Tim Redd will provide the welcome at 4 p.m. You can receive an update on the dairy and livestock projects and see the new dairy calf barn; view the alfalfa establishment and production; see the beehives and apiary; and view the many new improvements on the farm.
