MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (BEASLEY)  --  One of the world's top-ranked amateur golfers is coming to the Mid-State

Middle Tennessee State University's golf team recently signed Tae Wan Lee, the sixth-ranked junior golfer in the world according to Golfweek.

MTSU golf coach Whit Turnbow says Lee is a consensus junior all-American and is the highest rated recruit the Blue Raiders have ever signed.

"It's a huge day for us and our program, and department as a whole. Certainly a big day in the life of our program for sure.”

Turnbow expects Lee's skill set to provide an immediate impact in the teams upcoming season.

"The kid has no glaring weaknesses in his game. It's one of the things that you see right off the bat is just how complete his is from top to bottom."

Lee will be added to a lineup that returns every player from the 2012 season.
