UNIVERSITY RELATIONSHIP

WMOT Radio will:

• Extend the resources of Middle Tennessee State University by acknowledging the University as licensee and funding source;

• Increase its listeners’ awareness of the regional service provided by Middle Tennessee State University by utilizing and crediting University personnel as information and performance resources;

• As part of the College of Mass Communication, seek to involve faculty and students of the College in the operation of the station in a thoroughly professional capacity, consistent with station policy and supportive of the public service function of WMOT Radio.

PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT

WMOT Radio will:

• foster involvement with the station through the use of advisors and volunteers from the University and the public community at large.

• consistently and regularly inform the public of the station’s existence, programming, and services through any and all appropriate means of publicity.

• continually affirm its identity as a public radio station by regularly seeking financial support from public and private foundations, businesses and listeners.
