NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The famed Alfred Stieglitz Collection has returned to Nashville's Fisk University.

WPLN-FM reports (http://bit.ly/1LrryJl ) the artwork will be unveiled April 7 after spending two years in Arkansas' Crystal Bridges museum.

The artwork created controversy and a long legal battle when Fisk agreed to enter into shared ownership of the collection. As part of the deal, the university received $30 million, some of which preserves the art.

The collection was first donated by painter Georgia O'Keefe in 1949.

During its time away, the university renovated some parts of the Carol Van Vechten Gallery.

The 101 works of art will be shown about thirty at a time, to rotate every few months, until they go back to Crystal Bridges again in two years.

The art returns as Fisk celebrates its 150th birthday.
