Thursday is last day for early voting in Tennessee
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- If you planned on taking advantage of early voting for the November 4 General Election you’re running out of time.
Early voting ends Thursday.
Rutherford County Elections Administrator Alan Farley says that if you do plan to cast a ballot, you should do your homework first. He says it’s an unusually full ballot, and a long list of state and federal candidates is only the beginning.
“We also have local municipal elections, a referendum with wine in groceries in Murfreesboro and Smyrna, and we also have four constitutional amendments. So I do encourage everyone to read over that and study that.”
You can find a full list of candidates and a sample ballot on your local election commission’s website. You’ll also find a list of early voting locations in your area.
Farley also reminds voters that Tennessee does require photo ID to cast a ballot. Federal and military photo ID, or a state driver’s license with photo can be used.
