2nd suspect sought in I-440 shooting death of a Nashville nurse

ATF

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  Metro Police have asked for the public’s help locating a second suspect in the shooting death of Nashville nurse on I-440 last month.

Caitlyn Kaufman was shot and killed as she drove to work early on December third.

Twenty-one-year-old Devaunte Hill was arrested one week later in connection with the case. Police say he implicated himself in Kaufman’s murder. He’s been charged with criminal homicide.

Detectives are now looking for a friend of Hills they believe was also in the car from which the fatal shots were fired. They say cell phone data puts 28-year-old James Edward Cowan near the crime scene that morning.

There’s a $6,000 reward for information leading to Cowan’s arrest.
