FAIRVIEW, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  Students at a Williamson County School attended classes online Monday morning due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

Students at Fairview High School will attend classes remotely through at least Tuesday. On the school’s website officials say they will decide Tuesday afternoon whether to return to in-person classes or remain closed for an extended period.

The decision to send students home came Friday when officials reported one-third of the high school’s students were absent.

Last week Williamson County reported 37 virus positive students and staff. Some 480 are quarantined.

Nearby Spring Hill High is closed for two weeks because of a COVID-19 outbreak.
