NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WMOT) -- The Federal Aviation Administration says Nashville International Airport will get $54 million as part of the $2 plus trillion stimulus package approved by Congress in March
The FAA says the funding is intended to “support continuing operations and replace lost revenue resulting from the sharp decline in passenger traffic.”
BNA served a record 18 million passengers in 2019 and is in the midst of a multi-year, $1.2 billion expansion.
Several smaller mid-state airports will also receive stimuls funding. The Smyrna Airport will receive $157,000. The John C. Tune, Murfreesboro and Lebanon airports will each receive $69,000.
