NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- The state Department of Mental Health is urging Tennesseans to reach out for help should they suffer a mental health crisis during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a press statement released Monday, state health officials note that mental health crisis counselors are on call 24/7/365. The service is available without charge should you need someone to talk to as you shelter-at-home.

If you, a family member, or friend should experience a mental health emergency, call 855-CRISIS-1 (855-274-7471). You can also text the letters “TN” to 741-741.
