State officials: Is your home ready to care for a family member with COVID-19?

cdc.gov

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- The State Department of Health is asking every Tennessee household to prepare to care for a coronavirus infected family member.

The guidelines suggest choosing an area where the ill family member can be segregated, with their own bathroom if possible.

Make an emergency contact list, including medical providers and people you can rely to keep you supplied. Make sure you have plenty of cleaning supplies on hand.

If someone does become ill, keep your distance, disinfect often, keep the house well-ventilated, and monitor their symptoms.
