FRANKLIN, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) — Williamson County health and school officials have again warned residents that coronavirus threatens the community.
Williamson Medical Center, the County Health Department, Williamson County Schools and the Franklin Special School districts issued an open letter Friday.
They wrote in part that “the unabated resurgence of COVID-19 cases not only threatens to overwhelm our health system, it will inevitably further challenge our schools, disrupt area businesses and ultimately impact our local economy.”
The average number of new infections reported by the county rose from just 20 a day in early September to 170 new cases every 24 hours as of Sunday.
