RuCo Sheriff files charges in Christiana school bomb threats

CHRISTIANA, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A mid-state student is facing felony charges after police say she made bomb threats against a Rutherford County School.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office says the unnamed Christiana Middle School student has been charged with filing a false report.

The first threat was found scribbled on a wall in the girl’s restroom last Thursday, with the second threat coming the next day.

The School Resource Officer, a Rutherford County Deputy, developed a lead in the case and along with the school principal brought the girl in to answer questions.

The juvenile was arrested Friday and booked into the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center where she spent the weekend.

Sheriff Robert Arnold is praising SRO Sgt. David Crim for the quick resolution to the case.
