NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- Metro Nashville has just over $27 million remaining in its federal pandemic aid account.
The city has allocated nearly $94 million of the $121 million in CARES Act money it received from Congress.
Just ahead of the holiday weekend, Mayor John Cooper published a list of where the money has gone. Allocations include:
- $24 million to help Metro Schools buy computer gear to launch remote learning.
- $10 million went to help Nashville residents make their rent or mortgage.
- $6 million has gone to help small businesses.
- $2.5 million is helping provide food aid.
- Almost $49 million has been set aside to fund the city’s COVID-19 response through the end of the year.
