NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- A leading member of Nashville’s Coronavirus Task Force said this week that there is now hard evidence that COVID-19 can cause serious changes in a survivor’s mental capacity.
Meharry Medical College President Dr. James Hildreth has noted a peer reviewed study out Monday that involved more than 500 patients in the Chicago area.
The research concluded that about a third of COVID-19 survivors suffered some form of mental impairment. The symptoms ranged from simple headaches and dizziness to delirium and a near comatose state.
