Mid-State Family Wants Help Finding Missing Man

WMOT

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A mid-state family is asking for the public’s help in finding a Rutherford County man who disappeared last fall.

Fifty-eight year old Dale Gaines was reported missing September 17. He was last seen walking on Franklin Road.

Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office investigators say that don’t suspect foul play. Gaines was undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments for cancer at the time and may have become ill and disoriented.

The family held a press event for local media yesterday, hoping to develop new leads in the case. Dale Gaines brother, Jonah, told reporters the family needs answers.

“My prayer is that God will give us closure. If he’s here, let us find him, and if he’s gone let us know that, so that his kids and grandkids and brothers and sisters can go on.”

Dale Gaines is described as a black male, standing 6-foot-3-inches tall, and weighing 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing jeans.

If you have information as to Dale Gaines’ whereabouts, call the Sheriff’s Office at 615- 904-3051.
