Police charge Murfreesboro man with his father's murder

RCSO

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A Murfreesboro man has been charged with his father’s murder.

Murfreesboro Police served a Second Degree Murder warrant on 36-year-old Jacob Kado Thursday.

Back on June 2, Emergency Services was called to 915 Harrison Ave. They found Dennis Kado unresponsive, sitting slumped over in his bathroom.

He was taken to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital, then transferred to a Nashville hospital where he died two days later.

ER staff told police Mr. Kado’s injuries were suspicious. The Medical examiner ruled Mr. Kado’s death a homicide, resulting from blunt force trauma.

Police say that when questioned about his father’s death, Jacob Kado implicated himself. Authorities say a search of the Kado home provided additional clues.

Jacob Kado is scheduled to make his initial court appearance July 6 in Rutherford County.
