MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- A student at Middle Tennessee State University is reporting that she was sexually assaulted last week.
The 18-year-old Behavioral and Health Sciences student tells police that she was hanging out with friends in her room at the College Grove Apartment on Lascassas Pike New Year’s Day.
In the incident report, the student says she was assaulted at some point between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. that evening. She was not able to name her attacker.
The report says a rape kit was collected. MPD detectives have been assigned to the case.
