NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Nashville’s 10th annual Free Day of Music is fast approaching.

The Nashville Symphony will host the event at Schermerhorn Saturday, October 10. More than 20 musical acts will perform that day beginning at 11 a.m.

The Symphony’s Director of Education, Walter Bitner, has worked hard to make sure there’s something on the program for every musical taste.

“Throughout the day we’ll have a British Brass Band, a Mariachi Ensemble, traditional Country and Bluegrass music; we have some R&B and some jazz, we have a Latin Fusion band; we have North Indian Classical Music and dance troupe, and we have a harp ensemble, and we have the Chinese Arts Alliance.”

This is a family friendly event with a Kids Zone, arts and crafts, and the Symphony’s popular Instrument Petting Zoo.
