NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- State officials began releasing information about COVID-19’s impact on Tennessee nursing homes over the weekend.
Officials say there are two or more confirmed infections at 10 facilities statewide. Seven of the ten are located here in Middle Tennessee.
The mid-state facilities include three homes in Williamson County, two in Sumner County, and one each in Davidson and Putnam counties.
State officials have declined to reveal the number of infections or fatalities at the homes.
Fourteen deaths have been confirmed at a Gallatin home where more than 100 residents and staff tested positive. WTVF-TV is quoting unnamed sources saying there have actually been 17 deaths at the Gallatin facility.
