Mid-state temps headed lower beginning Sunday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (OSBORNE) -- Get ready for a weather shock this weekend.

Temperatures so far in January have been well above average, but that ends on Sunday.

Matt Reagan with the National Weather Service Office in Nashville warns colder temps will filter into the mid-state behind a Saturday cold front.

“Sunday, Monday and Tuesday we’ll struggle to get out of the 30s, and then by Monday morning when you wake up temperatures will be down in the teens and the same thing will happen again Tuesday morning.”

Reagan says you can also expect the next couple of weeks to be a bit drier. So far in January Middle Tennessee has seen more than twice the average precipitation.
