Academies of Nashville Video Awards Results

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A unique awards ceremony drew a capacity crowd to Belcourt theater over the weekend.

Called the Academies of Nashville Video Awards, the contest provides an opportunity for Nashville’s twelve zoned high schools to highlight the work of their in-house academies.

The Academy of International Business and Communications at Hillsboro High School took home “Best in Show” honors Saturday.

McGavock High arguably had the best night, picking up trophies in six categories. Hunters Lane took home three awards.

The annual awards show is sponsored by Middle Tennessee State University. Students from the College of Mass Communication taped the ceremony using the school’s new mobile video production truck.

The  Academies of Nashville Video Awards are set to air on Nashville’s public access channel ten.
