MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Murfreesboro Police have released the name of the person found dead in Lytle Creek earlier this week. They’ve also made an arrest in connection with the case.

On Monday, construction workers discovered a body in the creek just off Main Street near the railroad tracks. Police say they’ve now identified the victim as a homeless man, 52 year-old Emad Kadhim Al Azraki.

An autopsy suggested foul play and police say evidence led them to suspect another homeless man may have been involved.

Yesterday, 47 year-old Charles Lee Warner was arrested in Nashville and charged with First Degree Murder in connection with Al Azraki’s death.

The body of a second homeless man was also found dead in Murfreesboro earlier this week. Police have since determined that death was from natural causes.

Al Azraki’s death was the seventh homicide in Murfreesboro in the past five months, more than twice the total number of murders in all of 2013.
