MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- The Gang Unit of the Murfreesboro Police Department has arrested what federal officials have described as a leader in a gang that is active in Middle Tennessee.
Two weeks ago the Nashville Office of the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of 28-year-old Adareus Dixon. Dixon was being sought in connection with federal indictments. ATF says he’s a leader in the Gangster Disciples Gang.
Murfreesboro Police say members of it’s gang unit spotted Dixon coming out of an apartment one block north of Middle Tennessee State University Friday afternoon. He was taken into custody without incident, along with a second individual, Andre Woods. Jr., who police say also had outstanding warrants.
Both men were booked into the Rutherford County Jail.
