MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  Time is running out for those who plan to vote early or vote by mail.

Thursday is the last day you can request an absentee ballot. Friday is the last day you can vote early in-person.

Many Tennesseans are taking advantage of those options. Statewide, early voting and voting by mail are up 148 percent above 2016 levels.

Davidson County has seen the largest increase in early voting by far. At the end of the first week early voting totals in Metro were more than six times higher than in 2016.

Statewide early voting by Republicans is up 131 percent above 2016 levels. Early voting by Democrats is up by 221 percent.
