NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  The Ryman will this week host its first live audience since March, thanks to loosened health restrictions that went into effect Tuesday.

Music City venues can now hold live events with up to 125 people in attendance, if their plan for social distancing are approved by health officials.

Scott McCreery will headline the Ryman concert on Friday with 125 in attendance. That’s just 5 percent of the fabled venue’s total capacity.

Audience members will be widely spaced, but groups of up to six will be permitted to sit together. Audience and staff will be required to wear masks.

The performance will also be live-streamed.

In-person shows are in the works for the following two Fridays in September.
