Profanity laced rant against police attributed to Nashville Public Defender

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  A Nashville Public Defender has issued a profanity laced rant condemning police and the justice system in the wake of the Breonna Taylor decision, and the Metro Police Union wants him held “accountable.”

WSMV reports the Facebook post was attributed to Public Defender James Hindman. It followed word Wednesday that a Louisville Grand Jury had declined to indict officers for Taylor’s shooting death back in March.

Hindman wrote in part “I can’t begin to imagine the rationale that leads to this result. We truly live in a madhouse of a system and country.”

Nashville FOP President James Smallwood followed up with a letter to the Public Defender’s Office. He wrote in part, if Mr. Hindman “cannot support the justice system, can he effectively operate within it.”
