NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- A mainstay of Nashville’s honky-tonk scene is closing its doors, blaming lax enforcement of pandemic restrictions for the decision.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, Acme Feed and Seed says it can’t compete with businesses that ignore the city’s emergency health regulations. It blamed Metro for giving what it called “the rule breakers the economic advantage.”
The honky-tonk also complained that lax enforcement was placing its employees at risk.
Acme says it will reopen its doors “until science says it’s safe.”
