TSA says Nashville airport among top ten worst for gun confiscations

TSA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) — The number of firearms confiscated by screeners at Nashville International Airport fell slightly last year, but BNA remains one of the top ten airports in the nation for the number of passengers caught with a gun.

Nashville ranks as the nation’s 31st busiest airport. However, BNA this year placed sixth on the Transportation Safety Administration’s list of airports reporting the most gun confiscations.

TSA says 94 guns were seized from screened Nashville travelers in 2020. The agency notes that 87 percent of the firearms it finds are loaded.
