NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- Tennessee’s largest publicly traded company plans to return $6 billion in pandemic relief aid to the federal government.
Nashville based Hospital Corporation of America said in a press release October 8, that it’s learned how to operate within its budget in spite of the health crisis and no longer needs the federal assistance.
HCA says in part “We greatly appreciate the CARES Act funding and the policymakers who fought hard to ensure hospitals would have the essential resources during the pandemic.”
In an earnings statement to shareholders, HCA reported a $950 million third-quarter profit on revenue of more than $13 billion.
