Will the Titans face strong NFL sanctions over COVID-19 outbreak?

titansonline.com

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WMOT/AP)  --  The NFL is threatening teams with tough action following a COVID-19 outbreak among the Tennessee Titans.

No further infections were reported by the Titans Monday, but so far 10 team members and 10 staff have tested virus positive.

The Associated Press reports the league is threatening forfeiture of games and draft picks as punishment for teams that violate the protocols it had hoped would prevent such outbreaks.

In addition, the league will now limit free agent tryouts, ban gatherings outside of the club facility, and implement a league-wide video monitoring system to ensure compliance.
