MT Blue Raiders Fall to Mississippi State

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (BEASLEY)  --  Middle Tennessee lost its first road game Saturday night, but the Blue Raiders' Sun Belt Conference Championship hopes are still intact.

MT's road trip to Starkville didn't go quite as planned. Despite only trailing by seven at halftime, the Blue Raiders suffered a 45-3 loss, its first loss away from home.

Next in line are the North Texas Mean Green Saturday, October 27. The contest will serve as Middle Tennessee's signature blackout game, and also MT's next to last home game.

A win Saturday for the Blue Raiders would keep Middle Tennessee in the race for Sun Belt Conference Champions, something that hasn't happened since 2006.

Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at Floyd Stadium. As always, you can tune into WMOT for the call.
