MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Murfreesboro Police responded to two shots-fired incidents over the weekend that may be related.
Police received a call at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night saying an East Main resident had just witnessed a black male fire three shots at a black SUV in the parking lot of the Thai Spice Restaurant on North Rutherford Blvd.
The resident says a black male then jumped her yard’s fence and run across the street. Police later recovered shell casings in the lot.
About three hours later a second shots-fired incident took place less than two miles away on Journey Drive. Witnesses report a dark colored SUV pulled up and an argument began between several men in the SUV and two black males on the street.
One man then reportedly got out of the SUV and fired two shots. The shooter got back in the SUV and fired a final shot from the vehicle’s window. Shell casing were recovered at that scene as well.
The incident reports say police were not able to obtain any additional information about the two shootings.
