MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A funeral service is scheduled Thursday for a police officer who was killed during a struggle on a Memphis street.
The service for 33-year-old Officer Sean Bolton is being held at 11 a.m. at Bellevue Baptist Church with burial at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
Bolton was the third Memphis officer to be fatally shot in slightly more than four years. Police say Bolton was shot after interrupting a drug deal.
Police say 29-year-old Tremaine Wilbourn turned himself in on Monday, ending a two-day manhunt, and is charged with first-degree murder.
