MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Murfreesboro Police have received four reports of sexual assault, sexual battery and rape in the past two days.
On Wednesday, a 20-year-old student at Middle Tennessee State University told police that she had been raped in early July.
The woman says she was assaulted on either the 7th or 8th of July at the Castle Street Apartments. She was able to provide police with the name of her attacker.
A second Murfreesboro woman told police she believes she was drugged and raped early yesterday morning.
The police report on that incident suggests it took place at Gentlemen Jim’s Bar on Greenland Drive just north of the MTSU campus.
The 29-year-old victim was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
Both cases have been turned over to MPD detectives for investigation.
