MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Police say guns were drawn during two separate confrontations Monday in Murfreesboro.
The first incident involved a disagreement over a rug cleaner. Chariot Drive resident Samuel K. Moore tells police when he asked a neighbor to return the borrowed machine an argument began.
Moore tells police at one point neighbor Alonzo A. Higgs threatened him with a handgun. Moore says Higgs fled the area before police arrived.
Also Monday, City Cab driver Adly K. Shahat tells police he drew his handgun when an argument over an unpaid fare became heated. Police say Shahat has a valid handgun carry permit and claims he didn’t draw his weapon until physically threatened.
No one was injured and no one has been arrested in either case.
