Man tries to get Murf. woman into his car

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A Murfreesboro woman who tells police a man tried to get her into his car Wednesday night.

Poplar Ave Resident Nicole Wade says she was walking home along West Clark Blvd when a man pulled up beside her in his car, began commenting on her appearance, and asked if she wanted a ride.

Wade says she made it very clear she wasn’t interested, but the man continued to follow her as she turned onto Poplar Ave. Afraid to go home, Wade told police she went to a neighbor’s door instead.

At that point she says the man got out of his car and told her "I said come here. You’re going to listen to me."

Wade says that when her neighbor came out on the porch the man got back in his car and drove away.

The incident report describes the man as Middle Eastern, in his forties and driving an older model gold Toyota Corolla or Honda Accord.

Police say they’re running extra patrols through the neighborhood.
