MTSU student threatend with a gun during argument over spit and a dog

RCSO

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A Murfreesboro man is under arrest after pulling a gun on a student attending Middle Tennessee State.

Police say they were called to apartments on Rocky Lane one block north of the campus Sunday morning. Twenty-one-year-old MTSU Sophomore Timothy A. Lambert says an argument began when a man visiting the apartments spit on his dog.

Lambert says the man, 20-year-old William D. Davis, eventually drew a handgun, chambered a round, and pointed the weapon at him.

Police arrested Davis on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He was booked into the Rutherford County Jail on a 12,000 bond.

Davis will make his initial appearance in Rutherford County General Sessions Court at the end of January.
