MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- There's an update now on that Seigel High athlete who was severely injured during a football game in late October.
Baylor Bramble has been moved to a rehab facility in Atlanta. His parents report slow but steady progress. In an online post yesterday, the 17-year-old’s family report he is no longer on a ventilator, and that his “muscles have had some reflexive responses.”
The family recently suffered additional tragedy, when Baylor’s maternal grandfather died unexpectedly.
The family says they have tremendous peace and are asking for prayers that Baylor continue to improve and that insurance cover all of his therapy
Baylor Bramble suffered a severe brain injury during a football game Friday, October 23, as Seigel High played Warren County High. He left the game telling the coach he had a bad headache. Later that night he was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center by a Life Flight helicopter where he underwent emergency surgery.
