MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Murfreesboro Police have responded to another serious incident at the Vie Apartments on Wenlon Drive.
Officers were called to the complex early Sunday morning in response to shots fired. They recovered shell casings from two different guns and found bullet holes in building four and a white BMW in the parking lot.
There have been a string of incidents at the Vie apartments this year. In mid-April a woman was stabbed at the complex. In mid-March one man was shot dead there while another was injured. That case remains unsolved. In early March police arrived to find a bullet riddled car in the ditch in front of the apartments.
The website crimemapping.com reports more than 50 crimes reported at or near the complex in the past six months, including robberies, assaults, burglaries, drug arrests and vandalism.
The MPD says this latest incident has been turned over to detectives for investigation. Anyone with information on any of the crimes at Vie should call Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP(7867) .
