WASHINGTON, DC (OSBORNE) -- Tennessee reaction continues to roll in to the beginning of impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.

This past week Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn addressed the issue on the Senate floor. Blackburn described the reaction of her constituents during a recent conference call to the move by House Democrats.

“They see this for what it is: Vitriol, anger, jealousy, spite.”

Nashville Democrat Jim Cooper is also weighing in on the move to impeach the president. Cooper initially opposed impeachment, but the latest White House scandal changed his mind.

“Trump has lowered the bar so low that I think most fair-minded Americans are deeply worried about the future of our country.”
