Tenn. Health Commissioner admonishes young adults on social distancing

tn.gov

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- Tennessee’s Health Commissioner is “calling out” the state’s young adults.

During a coronavirus press briefing Tuesday, Dr. Lisa Piercey said Tennesseans ages 20 to 40 need to “raise the bar” on social distancing.

Piercey noted that young adults in that age category account for 48 percent of the state’s current 667 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Dr. Piercey says young people who aren’t taking the pandemic seriously are endangering themselves and others.
