Teens, 18 and 17 years of age, arrested in connection with Murfreesboro shooting death
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- Two teens were arrested oer the weekend in connection with the late September murder of a Murfreesboro man near the campus of Middle Tennessee State.
Police say 18-year-old Corey Lillard was found hiding in the closet of a home on Center Pointe Dr. Saturday. A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested as he walked along Old Lascassas Rd. the same day.
Both have been charged with First Degree murder for the shooting death of 32-year-old Javarius Malone. Malone was found shot in the chest one block north of MTSU the last Sunday in September.
Corey Lillard is being held in the Rutherford County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
