NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  State health officials have made significant changes to Tennessee’s COVID-19 vaccination plan.

The state released a press statement Friday saying that jail and prison guards statewide can now make appointments to be vaccinated.

In addition, medically fragile children, their parents and caregivers are being moved up to immunization phase 1c. However, most mid-state counties are still in phases 1a and b.

The state is now also allowing those 70 and older to be vaccinated. However, the state is letting counties decide when they’ll begin vaccinating each new age group.

You will find the list detailing what phase each county is currently in here.
